Wildlife Wednesday: The Lynx (Guape)
Welcome, young explorers, to the magical world of the Eurasian lynx! Today, we’re going to join Lennart the Lynx on fun adventures through the forest. Are you ready for an exciting journey filled with fun facts, and colourful drawings? Let’s dive right in!
Meet Lennart the Lynx!
Let’s start by getting to know our main character, Lennart. With his big paws, pointy ears, and beautiful tufts of fur, he is a master of camouflage in the wild. He spends his days prowling through the forest, using his incredible stealth to catch his favourite prey—squirrels and rabbits! Can you spot him in the picture? He’s hiding among the trees, ready for his next adventure!
Drawing Time
Now, it’s time to warm up your artistic talents and draw the Lynx. Grab your Dråpe crayons and follow these simple steps:
- Start with a large oval for his head.
- Add two pointy ears on top of his head.
- Draw two big eyes with small black dots inside for pupils.
- Give Lenny a cute little nose and a big smile.
- Add his fur by drawing short, curved lines all over his body.
- Don’t forget to colour Lenny’s fur with shades of brown and black. Our SCC Crayons in Brown and Black are perfect for this!

- Did you know that the Eurasian lynx is a super sneaky animal? They are like ninjas of the forest, with their soft and silent footsteps. Shhh, you might not even hear them coming!
- Lynxes are excellent jumpers! They can leap really high, almost like they have springs on their feet.
- These wild cats have super sharp eyesight. They can spot their prey from really far away, just like having built-in binoculars. Imagine seeing a mouse from a mile away, that’s how good their eyes are!
- Guess what? Lynxes have really big and furry paws! It’s like they’re wearing cosy winter boots all year round. They use their paws to walk quietly and to catch their favourite meals, like rabbits and birds.
- Lynxes have beautiful long tufts of fur on their ears, which makes them look super stylish. It’s like they’re wearing fluffy earmuffs, even in the summertime!
So, the Eurasian lynx is a sneaky ninja, a high-jumping champion, a keen-eyed detective, a cosy-pawed explorer, and a fashionable furball with fluffy earmuffs. Isn’t that cool?
